Felix Umarov is a director and writer with a sharp cinematic eye and a knack for grand stories.
His feature debut, the sweeping historical drama The Poet (2025), starred Oscar nominee Yura Borisov as Alexander Pushkin, grossed $21M domestically, and is now rolling out internationally.
Before that, he cut his teeth on bold advertising campaigns for global brands — Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Bulgari, Red Bull, Adidas, Reebok, and music videos that lit up the festival circuit, from Cannes Lions to the Berlin Music Video Awards.
Transitioning into narrative, he directed the short Eden (2019) and the TV drama The Home Field (2022), refining a cinematic language that would later define the vivid, layered world of the musical drama — The Poet.
Next up: an ambitious reimagining of The Nutcracker, blending scale, spectacle, and storytelling in his signature style.
